I get to visit New York City about every other year. I would say it’s a Mecca for street photography. Sure, you can get great street shots anywhere, but I don’t think you can beat New York for sheer volume - not in the US, anyway.
This time, though, I only had 24 hours in the city, and that included sleep (at my age, sleep is not overrated!). And my wife was along, so I didn’t spend all my time prowling the streets, looking for subjects. But I always keep my eyes open, so here is what I found…
New York City has Central Park. I don’t usually go there, but… it’s very nice. I wouldn’t call it Idyllic, exactly, but it’s close. Especially when compared to the surrounding city. We were there on a Monday morning when the weather was perfect, and it was not crowded. And I learned that everyone gets their own rock…
